Gift Aid

As a registered charity we are able to claim Gift Aid. This means we can claim back 25p every time an individual donates £1 to us. It is a very simple way for you to increase your donation to us, by doing nothing extra! For instance, if you donate £50 to us today, West Croydon SDA Church would get £62.50.

In order to qualify you need to have paid at least the same as your donation, in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax, in the same tax year that we will reclaim. By making a Gift Aid declaration you are giving us permission to claim the 25p back.

If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in you Self-Assessment tax return. If you are unsure whether your donations quality for Gift Aid tax relief, we will be pleased to offer guidance, or you may ask your local tax office for the leaflet IR113 Gift Aid, or visit:  https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid

Please notify us of any change to your name or address while the declaration is in force. You may cancel the declaration at any time by notifying us or by indicating No Tax on an offering envelop. We will then cease making tax claims on your contributions. You should do this if your personal circumstances change such that you no longer pay tax on your income.
