Providing practical help to those in need during the Covid-19 lockdown.
FOOD BANK & FREE HOT MEAL
The FREE Hot Meal & Food Bank project takes place every Sunday between 1pm – 3pm at 45-49 Union Road, Croydon, CR0 2XU.
The project helps in supporting families in the West Croydon community who may be struggling to feed themselves owing to various reasons such as redundancy, illness, benefit delay, domestic violence, debt and family breakdown & homelessness
Food is donated by church members and local people (e.g. businesses and charities) and stored at the church. Volunteers sort and pack the food into food bags. A takeaway hot meal is also served is very beneficial for those who are homeless
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are also providing deliveries to people currently self-isolating.
The pandemic has led to the deaths of over 120,000 people in Britain. It has also pushed a further 700,000 into poverty.
A recent study by the Legatum Institute confirmed that over 15 million of our fellow citizens now live in poverty, the equivalent of 23 per cent of the UK’s population.
For many families this means a lack of food. It’s a crisis that we wanted to solve by launching our own feeding programme – Operation Love Thy Neighbour which is based on the principle: ‘We Care; We Share’.

Come along to the Church every Saturday 3pm-6pm to DROP OFF your donations. If this day and time isn’t suitable then please contact us and we’ll try and accommodate around you. Please refer to our donations list below.
