Sermon Title: The Courtyard: The Ultimate Sacrifice of Love

Scripture Reading: John 1:29

Sermon Summary: In the courtyard of the Sanctuary stood the brazen altar. On this alter were consumed all the sacrifices made by fire unto the Lord. Its horns were sprinkled with the atoning blood. Also, in the courtyard stood the brass laver were the priests washed their hands and feet before officiating in the sacred apartments or at the altar of burnt offering. We will look at Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and what it means for us.

The sanctuary in Heaven in which Jesus ministers on our behalf is the great original of which the sanctuary built by Moses was a copy. This sanctuary was pitched by the Lord, not man. In it, Christ, our great High Priest, ministers at God’s right hand. Psalms 77:13 tells us that the way of God is in the sanctuary. This month we will be following Christ through the Sanctuary to understand the Way of God for our times.
