Welcoming our new Pastors

Our family-in-Christ at West Croydon is excited to welcome not just one but two new Pastors and their families to our congregation. Pastor Royston Smith (Senior Pastor) and Pastor Andrew Cudjoe (Associate Pastor). Both Pastors are currently serving at the Croydon Central SDA Church and will continue to do so whilst serving at West Croydon.

Serving as pastor of one church is tough enough, but serving two churches is all the more challenging, and all the more opportunity for us to step up and continue to play our respective parts as the collective Body of Christ.

We are excited for this step and provision from God as they begin their ministry here at West Croydon Church

Please join us in welcoming the Smith and Cudjoe families to our church and to our area.

Pastor Smith is married with one daughter and has been living and working in the United Kingdom for 20 years. He is a qualified teacher with a B.A and M.A degree in Pastoral Administration and Theological Studies, respectively and is training to be a qualified person-centred counsellor.  Prior to his ordination Pastor Royston served as a chaplain and religious education teacher. Pastor Royston’s passions are community engagement, planning spiritual interactive events, preaching and teaching bible-centred sermons, evangelism and re-energizing the Adventism identity and ideal within the churches he pastors.

His wife, Sherine is a trained Occupational Therapist, whose support and wisdom are invaluable to his ministry.

They have one child, Annaliese.

Pastor Andrew Cudjoe was born and raised in Reading, and was an active member of the Reading Central SDA Church. After completing a degree in Economics he worked as an Analyst for eleven years.

However, God impressed him to leave his work to study for the ministry at Newbold College. He started working in Pastoral Ministry in January 2016.

Pastor Andrew loves to encourage members to seek and know God for themselves and to seek God’s will alone in ALL things.

Pastor Andrew is married to Auline who is an NHS Dietician and they have a son called Joel.

We are also proud to announce that our beloved previous minister, Pastor Otis Lewis has accepted the call to serve as Pastor at both the Peckham SDA and All Nations SDA Churches. This is a wonderful ministerial opportunity for him and we are eager to see the many blessings God has in store for him and his family.
